This 9-day Chilean volcanoes splitboarding expedition in the Andes, from Santiago, is an absolutely wonderful, thrilling and sublime way to experience the best boarding that Chile has to offer, and I will guide you as we traipse and travail around some of the highest slopes in South America, with excellent conditions and sumptuous views over the Chilean countryside the norm.

The Andes Mountains is the longest continental mountain range in the world, stretching from Chile and Argentina in the South of South America all the way up to Colombia and Venezuela in the North. It contains several of the highest mountains in the world, with numerous skiing and boarding opportunities available.

Our adventure begins in the beautiful Lake District of Northern Patagonia, where we will ascend to the summit and splitboard down Volcan Puyehue and the mighty Punta Alaska, where we board into the crater of the volcano.

From the Lake District, we then head up to the Central Andes, where we have the opportunity to climb and board up to 5 volcanoes, each with their own distinct and unique characteristics.

The altitudes we reach are not too extreme, meaning we do not lose time to acclimatization, and some days require early starts for a full day of exploring, with other days going at a more gentle and relaxed pace.

The conditions on the volcanoes are unbeatable, with fresh powder and few people resulting in splitboarding nirvana.

The views we are exposed to are some of the best in the world, and when not boarding we can indulge in some of the delicious and fresh local food and drink products, as well as hang out with the locals and get to understand their culture and way of life more.

By the end of this trip, we will have splitboarded on some of the most picturesque volcanoes possible, providing memories to last a lifetime.
