Description

Take the next step in your climbing career on this unforgettable Sierra Nevada ascent! Don´t miss the incredible views throughout the entire climb of the North Ridge of Lone Pine Peak!

Set in the infamous Sierra Nevada mountains, you will be among some of the most popular climbing programs in all of the United States. Mountaineering and mountain climbing dominate the region, and the stunning John Muir Wilderness in Inyo National Forest can be appreciated that much more from sky high peaks.

This is where you will find our course. The North Ridge of Lone Pine Peak (12,944 feet) is absolutely gorgeous, and the complexity of the long climb only adds to the beauty. Traversing through the sharp ridges and enduring the routes will give you a strong sense of accomplishment once you complete the ascent.

While you are racking up the vertical feet (or meters) during this climb, you will have amazing views of the unrivaled Mt. Whitney about half-way through the trek. It is a good alternative to the East Face of Mt. Whitney and can even be done as a strenuous hike by taking the decent trail to the summit if you wish to.

Rated as a 5.6 Grade III, this trad climb is designed for you to develop your mountain talents on a challenging but doable course. Experienced climbers can knock this trip out in a long day, but I have designated an extra day or two for anyone who wants to really dig into this program and truly appreciate the magnitude of the experience.

If you are going to break this climb up, we can bivy near the Meysan Lakes or further up on the mountain for a night. I can tailor this trip to fit your abilities and needs, so let me know what you want to accomplish and we can go from there.

This climb has a modest grade, but it still requires a reasonable fitness level. And, as always, prior climbing experience is always a major asset.

Book this with me now and see what a real trad climb in California is all about! Don´t miss your chance to climb the North Ridge of Lone Pine Peak!

And if you want to see another climb in the Sierra Nevadas, I can guide you up Mt. Sill! Or we can have a rock-filled day at Joshua Tree!

We booked through Ryan, and Daniel was our guide - absolutely brilliant, very down to earth and knowledgeable. The climbs themselves were awesome, with insane views. My partner is an experienced indoor climber, and I have close to no experience, especially outdoors, but still felt safe and in good hands. We did a half day, which was 5hrs, and got 4 climbs in, then stayed after the tour to walk around a bit more and have some snacks with a view (make sure you take food/water as there aren’t any shops inside the park). Definitely recommend.

Our guide, Spencer, was fantastic! He tailored everything to our exact needs, and we now feel equipped to climb outdoors without a guide.
