Classic Villarrica Hiking Traverse in Chile

Equipment check and bag assembly for the different stretches of the trek. Accommodation may be in a hotel, hostel, or cabin.

From Puesco  to Laguna Azul, we will trek 25 km in diverse landscapes. We will set off early so that we can reach Laguna  Azul in time to set up a TARP (circumstance tent) taking advantage of the terrain and the forest.

We will explore 20 km of diverse landscapes that will take us to the Quetrupillán Volcano summit. We will set up camp in the Paraiso Escondido sector where we will change clothes, and have access to a bathroom. Dinner and equipment prep for the next day.

We will explore 16 kilometers of mountainscapes and araucaria forests. We will see the beautiful Villarrica Volcano in front of us. 

We will set up camp in the Chinay sector, enjoy a mountain dinner, and prepare for the next day.

After a 20 km hike through forests and volcanic moraine, we will reach the Pichillanc awe Glacier. From there, we will begin to descend towards the Geometric Hot Springs to take a bath and rest. Food and accommodation in a tent or cabin.

From the hot springs, we will hike through 30 km of exuberant vegetation,  on the way, we will encounter traces of eruptions and beautiful views.

Upon arriving in Pucón, we will enjoy lunch in a restaurant.

The last section is optional and can be done by car if you are very tired from the previous days.
