Description

Join me on this 2-day trip and reach the summit of the Aiguille du Tour (3540m), in the Mont Blanc massif. This is a great opportunity to venture yourself into mountaineering and to learn alpine climbing techniques.

The Aiguille du Tour is also a perfect first summit to climb in the Chamonix valley. The normal route to the top provides a technically easy and enjoyable path, ideal for beginner mountaineers.

We will meet in Chamonix and from there we will head to the village of Le Tour, where we will take the cable car to the top. From there, we will hike to the Albert Premier refuge, situated right next to the Glacier du Tour.On the first day, you will learn the basic mountaineering techniques, use of crampons and ice axe, among other alpine climbing techniques.

On the second day, we will have breakfast at the refuge and start the ascent to the Aiguille du Tour. Once at the summit, you will enjoy spectacular views over the surrounding mountains. We will have lunch there and return to the refuge at noon, where we will have a drink and descend to Chamonix in the afternoon.

A climbing program to the Aiguille du Tour is a great chance to enjoy a first mountain experience in the stunning setting of the Chamonix valley. It also works perfectly as an acclimatization trip before attempting more challenging ascents in Mont Blanc.
