Monte Pisanino, located in the Province of Lucca, is the king of the Apuan Alps. It is 1946 meters high, which makes it the highest mountain located entirely in Tuscany. The locals call the mountain the Pizzo della Caranca.
The climb starts from Val Serenaia. From a physical point of view, it is a demanding ascent. You must have experience hiking on steep terrain and it is strongly recommended to go with a certified mountain guide.
The total ascent takes around 7 hours and the altitude gain is of 1100 meters. We will meet in Orto di Donna to start the hike and then the ascent of Mount Pisanino.
The best period to climb it is from May till September. We usually take a maximum of 2 clients per guide, to keep the adventure personal and pay attention to every detail you may need. This price includes the guiding fee and the technical equipment.
