On this full day hiking trip, I want to lead you on a trek to the Corno Bianco (3,320m), otherwise known as the White Horn.
The White Horn is a wonderful peak in the Pennine Alps of Italy. It is definitely one of the best highlights in the Valsesia valley, and if you are in the area, it is absolutely worth a visit.
From the valley of Rissuolo, this trek will follow an easy path right to the White Horn. The path will gradually take you up to an altitude of 2000 metres. And with every step you will get to indulge in some of the most beautiful landscape you will ever see.
Near the conclusion of the trek, you will encounter an exposed but still easy to manage stretch called the Artemisia pass. After that, there will be some first and second degree short, rock passages, until we reach the Corno Bianco.
While the last stretch of the trip can present some minor challenges, overall, the hike is still very easy. Hence making it a great opportunity for anybody to enjoy the beauty of the Valsesia valley.
This trip can easily be done in a full day. However, if you wish to stretch it out to two days, that is also an option. And considering how lovely the hike is, and how magnificent the White Horn is, it is a very appealing option. If you do decide to stretch the trip, you will be able to stay the night in the lovely Abate Carestia refuge.
Regardless if you want to enjoy the hike over one day, or more than one day, the trek to the White Horn is a wonderful journey. Please send me a request if you would like to join me.
