Join IFMGA Certified Mountain Guide, Pablo on a 10-Day trek through the Avenue of Volcanoes in Ecuador, culminating in the ascent of Cotopaxi and Chimborazo
Come and join me for an incredible 10-Day Trek through the Avenue of Volcanoes in Ecuador, culminating with the ascent of the two biggest Volcanoes in the country, Cotopaxi and Chimborazo.
There are so many amazing volcanoes in Ecuador, it would be difficult to pick one, or two, or three, or even four to climb. So during this 10-day Excursion, we will climb to the top of five volcanoes. Hence, why this trip will be exhausting and exhilarating at the same time.
This trip is not only about climbing incredible peaks. Because there is so much to see in the Avenue of Volcanoes, when not climbing, you will be exploring other amazing areas. You will get to see the Old Town Section of Quito, which we will gladly tour you around. You will get to see the famous Ciudad Mitad Del Mundo which marks the exact location of the Equator. There is also the beautiful Valley Town of Baños, where we will take a rest day, and you can enjoy the amazing Hot Springs.
However, the real highlights of this trip are the volcanoes themselves. Each summit will be its own adventure. But Cotopaxi and Chimborazo will be the biggest adventures of all because they are the biggest Volcanoes. Covered in snow, yet boiling with fire beneath the surface, so much could be said about these majestic volcanoes. There is so much symbolism, so much meaning, both hidden and obvious one can derive from them. Simply put, they must be beheld in person to understand their magic. And on this trip, that’s exactly what you will do.
So join me on this breathtaking, unforgettable 10-day Journey through one of the world’s most Ancient of Avenues. Come and see some of the peaks that people have been admiring for thousands of years. While saving the best two for last, Cotopaxi and Chimborazo.
I’ll be awaiting your messages.

UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide from Ecuador.
I fell in love with the mountains at a young age while climbing Ecuador’s volcanoes with my father. I guided in the Andes for 8 years and have been guiding for the past four years in the Northwest United States. In 1997 I expanded his adventure skills by taking on rock climbing. I represented Chimborazo province three times as the Ecuadorian National Rock Climbing Champion.
I completed his UIAGM certification with the Bolivian Mountain & Trekking Guide Association, accredited by the National School of Ski and Alpinism of Chamonix (ENSA), and completed Advanced Alpine and Rock Guides Courses with American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA).
I usually spend some months every year in Ecuador (from October to January, but it varies every year). The rest of the year I am based and guide in Europe.
