Description

Follow us on this day hike and go from Pico do Areeiro (1,817 meters) to Pico Ruivo (1,862 meters) on the beautiful island of Madeira.

This trail connects two of the highest points on the island, Pico do Areeiro and Pico Ruivo and will take us across fantastic landscapes. While hiking, we’ll discover the central massif of the island and walk through tunnels and steep sections. Also, we might have the chance to see some bird species that can only be found on Madeira and several beautiful plants.

With an extension of 12 kilometers and a duration of 5 hours, keep in mind that this hike is demanding and requires a good level of fitness. Of course, we will be there to help and guide you on the way.

If you love hiking and would like to explore some of the highest points on the island of Madeira, you can’t miss this 1-day hike. Get in touch with us by sending the request to book your place.

The guide cancelled on the eve of the adventure. I was left with no choice but to find a new activity at the very last moment. This caused unnecessary stress and disrupted my plans. Very disappointing experience.
