Description

If you are looking for a beautiful and easy rock climbing destination in Wallonia, Belgium, Durnal is your choice! This place is perfect for beginners, and even apt for families with children. Join me and let's spend a fantastic day on the sandstone cliffs!

I can adjust the program to your level, there are options ranging from easy to sustained. We will practice single-pitch climbing.

Located in a forest region between Namur and Dinant, Durnal is an ancient pit in the bucolic Bocq valley. It is the only sandstone cliff that can be climbed in Belgium. We will climb mainly on slab, rails and small overhangs.

The small massif is ideal to try your first cliff since the equipment is abundant and regular.

I particularly enjoy guiding my friends and clients in Durnal because: – The Bocq valley is magnificent. Nature and quiet are a guarantee! – It's ideal for an initiation with friends and family. – It's the only sandstone cliff that can be climbed in Wallonia.

In the same area, if you want to combine this program with others, I can also offer you a great rock climbing program at Yvoir.

Tempted to join me in Durnal for some fun rock climbing? Then make sure you send me a request to book this trip so we can start planning!

What people are saying about E-S Adventure Guides

Rob

Rachel

We had a great time bouldering with Léo who was really enthusiastic and encouraging, and who selected a good range of boulders to suit our different strengths whilst still being challenging. Would definitely recommend this as a great way to get introduced to outdoor bouldering at Fontainebleau.

Ruth

Willy was a brilliant instructor and guide. He took us on the Pont a Lesse beginners via ferrata, then onto a slightly harder section, and finally a short top-roped climb. We climbed with our 10 and 12 year olds and he was brilliant and making sure they followed all the safety rules, gave them good advice and on a particularly tricky vertical section, used a top rope for extra security. He was really encouraging and great company. He communicated well beforehand and his English was excellent. He also used to be a photographer before he became a climbing instructor, and he took some fabulous photos which he shared with us afterwards. We had a fantastic time and I would definitely recommend going on a trip with him.

Denis

Oak

Ivan was aan excellent guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, very friendly and approachable. He tailored the day to our experience and gave us loads of great tips to increase our enjoyment and improve our skills. I would highly recommend a day's bouldering with Ivan.
