The Cerro El Plomo is a mountain which lies in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago de Chile. With an altitude of 5424 meters, it is the highest point visible from the city.
I think it's a perfect opportunity for the enjoyment of a mountaineering tour while you stay very close to the urbanity of the city. However, I have more reasons to invite you to this 5-day adventure:
You'll have the chance to climb an antique Inca sanctuary;
There are stunning views of the Central Andes and the city of Santiago;
It's also a perfect acclimatization before climbing the Ojos del Salado, the Aconcagua or any other high peak.
The Cerro El Plomo is considered a sanctuary where old Inca communities performed ceremonies and sacrifices. It's a very interesting cultural site to visit. Moreover, you can also admire the best views of the mountains while enjoying a great climb to a 5000-meter summit.
Although it is a technically easy tour I recommend to have some basic climbing skills as well as a good physical shape.
I can lead a group of at least 8 people with a maximum of 16. I have some open groups you can join if you are on your own. Departures dates are from November till March.
So, what are you waiting for? Get in touch with me so we can discuss and plan your next adventure in Chile!
