Type of Trip
Rock climbing can be a child-friendly activity! Sure, you cannot take your child rock climbing anywhere, or without the proper training, but this is what this climbing day is about. Join me for a family climbing day in the area of Geneva.
I am a Swiss certified rock climbing instructor based in Geneva, so I know the rocky walls in the area very well. There are locations ideal to go with children and introduce them to the world of outdoor rock climbing in a safe way.
It is always important to practice rock climbing with proper guidance, but in the case of climbing with children I would say it is particularly important. You and them will feel safer.
Please note that the indicated price is per parent+child couple (so for 2 people instead of per person). If both parents want to join with a child, it is of course also possible and you can find further information below. I have already planned the next departures, they are listed below as well.
We usually leave on Sundays. What can be best than to change a Sunday at home for one active and outdoors?
If you are interested in this family climbing day near Geneva, please book you preferred date and let’s meet! I also guide similar trips for adults, you can find the option of a rock climbing day near Geneva here.
Price per person
- Guiding fee
- Group equipment
- Personal equipment
What happens if I need to cancel the trip?
If you decide to cancel, you’ll get a 100% refund (minus fees) if the cancellation is notified up to 60 days before the start of the tour, a 75% refund (minus fees) if you cancel between 59 and 30 days before the start of the tour, and a 50% refund if you cancel between 29 and 21 days before the start of the tour. If you cancel less than 21 days before the first day of the tour, you won’t receive a refund. Take into account, however, that if accommodation, flights or transfers were included in the trip you booked, then a different policy may apply as the guide will be bound by the provider’s cancellation policy.
What happens if the guide cancels the trip because of bad weather/unsuitable conditions?
If bad weather or unsuitable conditions force the guide to cancel the trip, he or she will: a) propose a similar activity at a different place where conditions are better, or b) propose to postpone the activity until a later date, or c) cancel. If you refuse option a), our cancellation policy will apply. Please note, however, that the call to cancel a trip due to bad weather can only be made by the guide (not the client).
What happens if the guide doesn’t show up or cancels for personal reasons?
If the guide cancels for reason of injury or other, you will get a 100% refund on your trip.
Please note that I only have climbing shoes from size 36 and up. If you need smaller shoes, they are not included in the price.
For families who do not have their own car, transport can be arranged (CHF 0.7 / km, divided by the number of families), however they have to bring their own child safety seat.
Please book the trip at least one week in advance.
About the Guide
Passionate about climbing from an early age, I have been teaching climbing for about 15 years and co-founded GenevaRocks in 2013.
I am a climbing instructor with a Federal Diploma of Professional Education and Training and have co-founded the Swiss Association of Climbing Instructors. I am also a member of the Mountain Guides Association of the Vaud Canton.
Quality and safety are key values to me. I keep groups small so as to be able to respond to your needs and wishes. This will not only allow you to explore your comfort zone and enjoy the climbs, but also to set new challenges for yourself.
Join me as we explore the Haute Savoie region in France, the mountains in Switzerland or anywhere in the world were there are rocks!
