The Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice) glacier, located on the Mont Blanc Massif’s northern slopes, is a stunning location where you can try your hand at glacier hiking.
This program is perfect for hikers and beginner mountaineers who want to discover glacier lakes, ice caves, and crevasses. People of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to participate.
Our adventure begins at the Montenvers Train Station in Chamonix. A brief train ride and a gondola will take us to the glacier, where we’ll grab our ice axes and get our harnesses and crampons on.
As your guide, I’ll make sure you get the most out of your day exploring this wonderland while always prioritizing safety. There is even the opportunity to try ice climbing if the group wishes to do so.
Book now to experience the thrill of glacier hiking in a beautiful setting. It’s sure to be an unforgettable journey.
Other trips that may interest you include this 2-day ascent of Mont Blanc or this 7-day ascent of Mont Blanc and Matterhorn. You can check out all the excursions I offer on my page.

Mountain Guide
I’m an IFMGA mountain guide, a geographer and a passionate alpinist and climber.
I started going in the mountains as a child, at first very close to my home, in the Romanian Carpathians. In these mountains I discovered the passion for outdoor activities and climbing. It was not long until I started discovering other mountains and their challenges and I began building a "mountain climbing lifestyle".
I went in different expeditions around the world and I am always looking for interesting challenges in far away mountain ranges. As often as possible I spend my time in the Alps, training, climbing and enjoying life.
I became a national mountain guide in Romania in 2011. Since then, I love sharing my passion for the mountains and I enjoy taking clients to incredible places. I'm also a volunteer in educational activities to promote the values of authentic alpinism.
I believe in self development and always getting better at what I do, so in 2015 I joined the IFMGA mountain guide training program at EEMGA (East European Mountain Guides Association) and became a fully certified IFMGA mountain guide in 2018.
It will be my pleasure to guide you in any adventure in the mountains.

En flott tur i fin natur. Vi fikk vite mye om isbreens tilstand og vi fikk prøvd både isklatring og via Ferrata. Guiden snakket flytende engels så det var lett å kommunisere. En behagelig og artig tur med litt utfordringer.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
