In the Mojave Desert of Nevada, with the bright lights of Las Vegas in view, Red Rock sets the precedent for perfect climbing terrain. The sandstone formations have developed over centuries and show off red tones throughout the region. The thrust faults that occurred have given way to the colorful display of rock present today, as well as the numerous climbing walls that make this area so special to climb.
Your program takes advantage of the pristine climbing surfaces and puts you on a wide variety of routes all day long. The long and easy formations are perfect for those climbers cutting their teeth and discovering the magic of the sport. For more advanced climbers, there are challenging multi-pitch routes that will test your lead climbing skills and prepare you for some of the world’s most notorious objectives.
Beginners can expect to learn the basics of rock climbing. From general terminology and proper equipment association to anchors, protection, and movement, you will learn the ropes – literally – of rock climbing to expand on your passion for the activity. With a full day at your fingertips in a stunning climbing paradise, you will leave feeling accomplished and ready for the next step.
Intermediate and advanced climbers will build on their previously acquired talents, focusing on what you already have learned about belaying and rope techniques. Mt. Wilson and the Rainbow Wall feature Grade IV+ and Grade V climbs and offer possible objectives with exciting challenges. Our goal is to prepare you for longer routes, capable of multi-pitching and lead climbing with confidence by the time you complete the advanced course.
All of our programs take place in the aesthetic awe of Red Rock Canyon.
