* Summit one of the most notable peaks in the Alps.
* Receive knowledgeable instruction from an expert certified guide.
* Take in the awe-inspiring panoramas of a world-class mountain.
With an extraordinarily vast and beautiful national park of the same name surrounding its peak, Gran Paradiso is a mountain that holds incredible allure for all climbers. Its location in the Graian Alps and its proximity to Chamonix and Mont Blanc make this Aosta Valley hot spot once of the top mountaineering destinations in the world.
Your program places you front and center of this lovable giant, giving you three days to enjoy pleasant Alpine training, share stories and learn from other climbers on its slopes, and successfully summiting Gran Paradiso and exploring the intricacies of the Italian Alps. From fascinating plants to unique wildlife, there is so much to find on a trip up this mountain.
Our program begins in nearby Chamonix, where we will get acquainted with each other and our surroundings, tie up any loose ends regarding the equipment and itinerary, and head off on the adventure. You can expect to see alpine forests and meadows on your way up the mountain, exploring all of the rich natural beauty of the region.
Our mountaineering experience will include some technical climbing on the summit day, including harness, crampon, and rope work. Instruction will be provided to assist and guide you in the proper and efficient use of the equipment. This is an all-out adventure – you will be having the time of your life from the valleys surrounding Gran Paradiso all the way up to the Madonna statue at its peak.
The Alps, Aosta Valley, and Gran Paradiso are an unforgettable experience that I would love to share with you. Ensuring a safe, satisfying, and all-around fun time are my main objectives, so you can be certain that this is a program will leave a lasting impression on your climbing career.
Though it may not have the technical difficulties of other high-profile mountains, Gran Paradiso should not be underestimated. Previous experience is highly valued, as is a high level of physical fitness. The sustained climbing over three days make it a strenuous journey, so you should be prepared to face the associated challenges.
For anyone with a limited amount of time, we can also embark on a shortened program that will include an ascent within two days instead of three. We will exclude the first day of the program and begin our journey by heading straight to the Col d’Entreves.
Book this amazing three-day mountaineering program NOW and climb the indomitable Gran Paradiso in Italy to satisfy your hunger for a life-changing adventure in the Alps!
I can also guide you on a five-day introductory program in Chamonix-Mont Blanc that is perfect for any budding alpinists in search of a way to break into the world of mountaineering!
- Guiding fee
- Transport during the trip
This is the price to join one of my group programs.
The price includes the guiding fee, transportation during the trip, management and planning of the trip, and possible discounted prices on rental equipment (if applicable).
The price does NOT include the mountain lifts, valley accommodation, mountain hut accommodation for both you and the guide (allow about 65 Euros for dinner, bed, and breakfast), food and drink(s), insurance, mountaineering equipment, flights, transfers, and anything not explicitly mentioned as “included.”
After arriving and getting acquainted, we will check our gear and begin our program. We will head into Italy and the Aosta Valley, where we will practice mountaineering techniques while reaching a 3,400-meter peak. We will then spend the night in the Torino Hut (3,370m) in preparation for our next two climbing days.
Beginning early, we will make our way to the Col d’Entreves for more glacier work. After a productive morning, we will head back down to Aosta Valley via the lift station for lunch and to explore the Gran Paradiso National Park. We will enjoy the alpine forest scenery before reaching the Chabod Hut at 2,750 meters. An early dinner will get us settled for the summit attempt the following day.
We will rope up and use harnesses and crampons for our ascent. The climb along the glacier will reveal early morning views of a stunning Mont Blanc, ultimately bringing us to 3,800 meters and a substantial steep face to the summit ridge at 4,000 meters. Once we reach the peak, you will have some of the best Alpine views in Europe.
Our descent will follow a different path down to the classic Vittorio Emanuele Hut. After a celebratory visit to Pont, we will return to Chamonix and acknowledge the incredible journey we just successfully completed.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
