Description

Come along this Grand Paradiso ascent, the highest mountain entirely within Italy. This constantly snowy peak is located to the south of the Mount Blanc Massif, inside the Paradiso National Park, in Val d’Aosta. A great option if you are looking to attempt a 4000 m summit in this region!

Gran Paradiso is also referred to as Grand Paradiso. It is a wonderful snow and glacier climb, with some rock sections near the peak. Our initial meeting point is usually Pont.

This particular route will take us through the legendary Vittorio Emmanuelle – Vittorio Emanuele – hut (2,735 m), and through the west ridge of Gran Paradiso.

As a part of this route, I will guide you across the Gran Paradiso Glacier. It includes rocky towers, moraines, hidden crevasses and a snowy ridge before reaching the summit (4,061 m, 13,323 ft). An amazing and rewarding challenge for any climber!

This ascent is quite accessible for a 4000 m mountain, suitable for both experienced and not-so-experienced climbers: from beginners to intermediates. Some mountaineers go on this tour as a way to gain acclimatization for higher summits, like Mont Blanc.

Groups on this program will be between 1 and 3 climbers.

Among other gear items you will need ice axe and crampons.

We did a 1 day Ferrata with Marica. We've both never climbed a Ferrata before but we are both good hikers. We enjoyed our trip very much and you don't need to be a climber. Marica took good care of us and she is very informative with the local geography and history. We felt very safe with her. If you are traveling near the Dolomite and want to try something a bit out of your comfort zone, I highly recommend doing a ferrata especially with Marica. We did both ferrata ra gusela nuvolau and ferrata-averau. It took us about 6 hours.
