Grande Forêt de Saint-Hubert d’Ardenne hiking tour with a local guide

The Grande Forêt de Saint-Hubert is one of the most wonderful natural areas in Belgium, located around the village of Saint-Hubert, in the province of Luxembourg. Join me on a half-day hiking tour and discover this beautiful huge forest in the Ardennes!

Deep valleys, enchanting rivers, trees and exceptional fauna make the Grande Forêt de Saint-Hubert a paradise for outdoor lovers, and a must if you are looking to enjoy a great day out in the Ardennes. The area extends over ten municipalities of the Ardennes, over a territory of 100.000ha, of which more than half is covered with forests!

During this hiking tour, I will guide to discover the territory of this great forest, the deer -the symbol of the Grande Forêt de Saint-Hubert- the fauna, flora and unique legends of this place! There are deer observation areas scattered through the area, so you can get the chance to admire it in its natural environment.

The small village of Saint-Hubert is the usual departure point of our hikes, although we can depart from several villages in the area. Based on your personal interest and on where you are staying at, we can organize the perfect tour for you.

This is a half-day tour, but it is also possible to plan a full day hike, according to your wishes. Also note we can organize this hike in the Grande Forêt together with a picnic program, and/or with a ride on a horse-drawn carriage.
