Jarabacoa is located in the province of La Vega, in the central Dominican Republic. Lying at the foot of the Central Range, it features a beautiful landscape dominated by green hills, lush forests, and large rivers. El Mogote (1,163m) is its geological gem and the most important trekking destination in the area.
On this day trip, we will head up a very steep route crossing pine forests and varied vegetation. Reaching the summit of El Mogote will take us about 3 hours. From the top, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the valleys and mountains that surround Jarabacoa!
On this trek, we will face a 3,5km trek with several 50° slopes. Therefore, please keep in mind that this adventure requires some trekking experience and a good fitness level.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
