Description

Just 20 minutes outside of downtown Phoenix and rising to 825 meters in elevation, Camelback Mountain is the premier hiking destination outside of the capital!

On our half-day adventure together, we will head up the Cholla Trail, which is one of the most scenic routes to the summit, but a challenging one as well.

The trail is generally pretty empty, especially if we get an early start to see the sunrise, which is a popular option.

We begin the hike heading up several sets of switchbacks along a steep but easy to follow and well-worn trail. About 1.6 kilometers into the 5 kilometer hike, the going begins to get a bit tougher.

After awhile, we will reach the saddle of the camel and from here, we will need to do a bit of scrambling to get to the summit.

Once we’ve arrived at the top, we will be met with stunning views out over Phoenix and Scottsdale, getting some of the best possible views of the two cities.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide.
