Do you want to spend time exploring the wild nature of Daisetsuzan, in Hokkaido? Then this 3-day hiking traverse is for you!

I will take you on a hiking trip from Asahidake to Tenninkyo Onsen, enjoying the whole area of Daisetsuzan.

Besides, you will hike some of the most popular mountains in this region, like Asahidake (the highest peak on the Island of Hokkaido), Hakuundake and Chubetsudake.

This is an ideal trip if you really love hiking! Furthermore, after walking you can relax in a rejuvenating onsen (hot spring).

Itinerary

Day 1 to 3: Traverse from Asahidake to Chubetsudake

We will start our tour at Asahidake onsen (hot spring).

From there, we will hike up to Asahidake (2,291 m), Hakuundake (2,230 m) and Chubetsudake (1,963 m). At the end of our tour, we can have rest at Tenninkyo Onsen (hot spring). Each day, we will walk about 6 hours to 8 hours.

I wish you a very warm welcome from Hokkaido, the north island of Japan. The dream spot for any fan of powder skiing!
I'm Jun, I'm a JMGA (Japan Mountain Guides Association) mountain and ski guide. I'm also a ski and telemark instructor. I graduated from the Hokkaido University. I have been skiing all around Hokkaido and I know every corner of this incredible island. I'm also an expert in avalanche safety management.
I'm guiding my friends and clients in all the most beautiful places of Hokkaido: Shiretoko (UNESCO World Nature Heritage), Daisetsuzan National Park, Rishiri, Niseko, Yotei volcano, Asahikawa... hiking, skiing and mountaineering.
