Description

I will guide you on this magnificent, interesting and spectacular hike along the Tamang Heritage Trail in Nepal, where over the course of 14 days we will discover the raw natural beauty of the country, with snow-capped peaks, tranquil lakes, lush green forests and mighty rivers featuring heavily, and the villages, monasteries and ruins of the Tamang people providing endless exploration.

The Tamang Heritage Trail is a path that winds its way through the Langtang National Park in the centre-North of Nepal, and is dotted by numerous traditional Tamang villages, communities and monasteries, making for a truly authentic and local experience.

We begin our trip when we meet in Kathmandu on day 1, where we have a couple of days to sightsee, settle in and go over safety and general information about the trip.

Day 3 is when we hit the Tamang Heritage Trail in earnest, and over the subsequent 10 days we will be hiking long distances every day, with ample time to take in and admire the awe-inspiring scenery that surrounds us.

Each day we will stop and stay at a variety of traditional Tamang villages and communities, as we talk to and learn from the local people about their customs and traditions, with herders and monks among those teaching us this rich, fascinating culture.

The breathtaking landscapes that Nepal is known for also frame our trip, with the majestic and massive mountains in particular never ceasing to amaze.

We finish our trip back in Kathmandu, grateful and thrilled at the unique 14 days we have just experienced together.

This is a gorgeous and absolutely fascinating way to explore Nepal – book now so you don’t miss out!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
