Join this 17-day trekking program to Mount Kailash, a beautiful peak in the Kailas Range in the Trans Himalayas in Tibet, and Lake Manasarovar. A perfect way to discover this region in Nepal.

To begin this program, we will meet you at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport. We will spend a day getting to know the secrets and main World Heritage Sites of the beautiful Kathmandu, before transferring to Tibet for our trekking experience.

One of the main attractions of this program is arriving in Mount Kailash (6,638 m), very close to where the main rivers in Asia – like the Indus River, the Brahmaputra River, and the Karnali River (a tributary of Ganges ) – have their source. This is also considered a sacred area for four religions, including Buddhism and Hinduism.

Very close to Mount Kailash are the impressive Lake Manasarowar (4,590 m) – the highest body of water in the world -, and Lake Rakshastal.

Along the itinerary, we will trek, drive and camp across beautiful spots in this area like Dirapuk, Paryang, Saga and Nyalam.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Sightseeing in Kathmandu, including World Heritage Sites like the Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ Swayambhu Nath and the Bouddha Nath Buddhist shrine

Day 3: Kathmandu - Nyalam

Early departure for Kodari, in the Nepalese border
Arrival in Tibet
Transfer to Zhangmu, on the border Tibet side
Transfer to Nyalam

Day 4: Nyalam

Trekking in Nyalam – views of the peaks of the Langtang Himal and Shishapangma
Overnight at Hotel or Guesthouse

Day 5: Nyalam - Saga

Transfer to Saga, passing by the Lalungla Pass and the Brahmaputra River
Dinner and overnight at Camp or Lodge

Day 6: Saga - Paryang

After breakfast, transfer to Paryang

Day 7: Paryang - Mansarovar

Transfer to Darshan of Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar
