Description

Russia is much more than rich history and a fascinating culture. Russia has also a vast territory with magical natural settings. The Kamchatka peninsula is one of these magical places and you will get to explore it on this incredible heliboarding and ski touring 8-day trip.

Kamchatka is an incredible volcanic peninsula located in the Russian Far East, between the Okhotsk and Bering seas. It has over 200 volcanoes, 29 active and the highest being Mount Kljutschevskayay (4.790 m). The peninsula lies at a similar latitude to the UK. However, the cold Oyashio sea current and the arctic winds from Siberia keep it covered in snow most of the year.

The Kamchatka peninsula used to be a forbidden military area, thus it has remained in a natural and wild state. Now it is opened to the public and a few lucky snowboarders and skiers get to explore it.

Because of its wild terrain, many of the best spots for snowboarding are difficult to reach. That is why a helicopter ride is an excellent option. Not only you will reach the most amazing areas: you will also enjoy the stunning views of this wild and magnificent place.

Our MI8 helicopters will take you on a different adventure daily. Imagine yourself gliding along the fjords. Imagine the adrenaline running through your veins when you snowboard down the sides of a volcano. You will pass through fuming vents and immense forests. And at the end of each day, we normally go to relax at the thermal baths near our hotel.

If you want to be part of this exclusive adventure, please send me a message. I will make sure you enjoy this unique and unforgettable experience.

Also, if you prefer skiing in other equally extreme places, check out the other trips I offer, like this one: ski touring from a boat in Greenland.

Mountain Guide

With my name I can’t make you believe that I am mountaineer of origin! I am a breton migrant worker who was stranded in the Pyrénées and later in the Alps…
What I like most of my job is the incredible mountain’s support to weave the real relationships in a short time and often the quality with people whom I guide to these beautiful summits. It is with a great pleasure that I put at your disposal my 25 years of experience in the climbing, mountaineering and skiing playgrounds to guide you in your adventure projects. I am also ski instructor and mountain rescuer. See you soon!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
