Description

Come along a fantastic 22-day program in the beautiful border between Nepal and India. This trekking itinerary will take you the area of the third highest peak in the world, Mount Kanchenjunga (8,586 m). This tour embraces the remoteness of the region and the richness of its local Tibetan culture.

To begin this program, we will meet you at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport. After your arrival, the second day of the itinerary is devoted to discovering the incredible landmarks of Kathmandu, including World Heritage Sites. After that, we will transfer to Biratnagar to begin the trekking experience.

This itinerary will take us through different villages in the Kanchenjunga massif, like the Tibetan Phera, Amjilassa and Kyapra. All along we will enjoy amazing landscapes: rhododendron forests, rivers like the Omje, the Deorali and the Phawa, waterfalls, and views of different peaks like Rathong.

This is a non-technical trek, open to people who are moderately fit with a curious sense of adventure! The itinerary is especially designed so that trekkers are able to have a proper acclimatization. We recommend that you strengthen your knees and practice on steep hills for the steep descents that this program includes.

You can have a look at the complete day-by-day itinerary below. Parts of the itinerary can vary given certain circumstances.

Your guide for this program will be a certified member of the GuideSource team. We pride ourselves in having over 35 years of experience in the mountains, with zero serious or fatal accidents.
