* Enjoy a 9-day climbing adventure to the summit of Llullaillaco.
* Admire spectacular views from the summit of the third highest peak in Chile.
* Spend several nights in the comfortable and scenic Refugio Zorritas.
Llullaillaco is a scared peak in the Incan culture. In fact, near the summit, at approximately 6,700 meters, three mummified bodies were found, placed there many, many years ago to honor the Gods.
Llullaillaco is the type of mountain you don’t just climb, it is the kind of mountain you admire. And, because you will be spending 9 days making your way up the peak, you will have plenty of time to admire it. Furthermore, with the amount of time provided on this trip, you will also have plenty of time for proper acclimatization. Thus ensuring you don’t suffer the debilitating effects of altitude sickness.
Our journey will begin at the Antofagasta airport. From there, we will make our way to the Campamento Imilac. After that, we will go to the Refugio Zorritas, where we will spend plenty of time. After that, we will make our way up to the summit of the mountain. And, throughout the ascent, you will get to enjoy spectacular views.
To participate on this trip, you should be in good physical condition.
Climbing a volcano as mythical as Llullaillaco is the kind of experience you never forget. An ascent like this doesn’t just take you to an incredible summit, it takes you back to a time when the Gods were revered and the world was a completely different place. To enjoy this trip for yourself, just send a request.

For more than 20 years I have worked as a guide in Chile. Join me and I´ll be able to show you the wonderful spots that the Andes offer to those who share my passion for big mountains.
I live in Santiago de Chile, the Chilean capital, where there are many options for high altitude ascents, even over 6,000 meters, in close proximity to the city. I also regularly organize trips to the Chilean Altiplano, where there are many mountains over 6000 meters. However, the main attraction of these trips is to witness the intensity and loneliness of the Atacama Desert.
I would love to have the opportunity to share these magical moments with you and help you achieve your goals and dreams.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
