Discover the incredible mountains in Peru on this fantastic mountaineering trip to the Misti Volcano. Located close to Arequipa, this active and high volcano is ideal for mountaineers with no experience ready to enjoy the breathtaking views from the top. Join me!

Misti Volcano is one of the most emblematic attractions in Arequipa. It is located in the Chili Valley, 20 kilometers away from the Cachani Volcano. It has an altitude of 5,825 meters! Due to its active status, Arequipa is a rich land for farming.

For this adventure, we’ll meet in Arequipa and ascend the north or south face.

This is a fairly easy ascent, so there’s no need for previous experience to participate in this trip. Nonetheless, you do need to be physically fit and healthy since we’ll be hiking for 12 hours the first day at a pretty high altitude. We’ll also spend the night at a camp at 4,600 meters above sea level. The way back will only take us 4 to 5 hours where we’ll be able to enjoy the stunning views and take photos.
