Description

Join us on this journey to discover the Mont Blanc massif and discover the Mer de Glace glacier.

Every mountaineer has to do a Mont Blanc ascent (4810m) at least once in their life! This ascent is planned as a progressive mountaineering course. We will use the Mer de Glace glacier as an open mountaineering school.

On the first day, we will practice some basic techniques on the glacier, including walking with crampons. Then, on the second day, we’ll walk on the glacier and afterward take an exposed trail to reach Requin mountain hut.

On the third day, we’ll do more glacier walking to reach the Cosmiques mountain hut. And, finally, the fourth day is reserved for the final climb to the summit. On the way there, we’ll cross Mont Blanc du Tacul (4248m) and Mont Maudit (4342m) to finally reach the top of the majestic Mont Blanc (4810m). You’ll never forget the views you’ll enjoy from up here!

You need a good fitness level to participate in this trip. We’ll walk between 6 and 8 hours per day, with altitude gains of between 1000 and 1500m. Some mountaineering experience is also necessary, including experience walking with crampons and using an ice axe.

Please take into account that reaching the summit is highly dependent on weather conditions. We recommend you reserve modifiable or refundable train tickets.
