Description

Mont Blanc du Tacul (4248m) is a mountain in the Mont Blanc massif in France, situated between the Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc. It is one of the most climbed peaks in the Chamonix Valley and a great introductory  experience into mountaineering.

Climbing this 4000-meter peak via the normal route is also a great preparation if you are planning an ascent to Mont Blanc or higher peaks. We will be climbing in a unique alpine environment, surrounded by the best views of the valley.

At 6.30 am the cable car takes us up to the Aiguille du Midi (3842m). From there, we will rope ourselves and cross the Vallee Blanche towards Mont Blanc du Tacul, for about one hour. Then we will have a couple of hours of cimbing until we reach the summit of the Mont Blanc du Tacul.

From the top of the mountain, you will have breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc massif and the surrounding mountains. We will enjoy lunch at the summit and descend in the afternoon to Chamonix. It is also possible to climb the day before and stay overnight in the Refuge des Cosmiques, in the heart of the Vallée Blanche.
