Description

Climbing to the top of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in western Europe, is a wish upon a star for most climbers around the world. Join me on this Mont Blanc ascent via the Gouter Route and make your dream come true!

Located at an altitude of 4,810 meters, and surrounded by the most important summits of France, Mont Blanc crowns the French Alps. By following the Gouter Route, we’ll explore the easiest but still challenging path to the top of this famous peak. Therefore, this 2-day ascent is ideal for those intermediate climbers who have some experience in mountaineering and are ready to take their skills to the next level.

On our first day, we’ll start of nice and easy, and then, due to the melting snow and the threat of rockfalls, we’ll encounter a few challenges on the last 800 meters. On the following day, we’ll walk on a glacier and hike uphill for about 12 hours. Finally, once at the top, all of our hard work will be rewarded, and we’ll enjoy the thrill of this magical experience!

Itinerary

Day 1: Starting our Mont Blanc ascent

We’ll begin with a relaxed start - do note, however, that as we reach the final 800 meters, melting snow and the risk of rockfalls will introduce some challenges.

Day 2: Summit Day!

The second day takes us across a glacier and up a steep incline, with about 12 hours of hiking ahead. Once at the summit, we’ll be rewarded for all our hard work with the exhilarating feeling of accomplishment and the amazing views that make this experience truly magical.
