Description

Beginning in the beautiful region of Courmayeur in the Aosta valley of Italy, this 3 day expedition will take you to the summit of the amazing Mont Maudit (4,465m).

We will be scaling Mont Maudit right to the summit by way of the gorgeous Kuffner ridge. From both the ridge and the peak’s summit, you will get to enjoy some truly spectacular views. However, in order to enjoy those views you must make the physically demanding climb. Due to the arduous nature of this expedition, you must be an experienced climber. You must also be in good physical condition as well.

In addition to the Mont Maudit summit and the Kuffner ridge, you will also be spending your evenings in the Turin hut (3,371m) and the Cosmique hut (3,613m). Both of these huts are quite comfortable. Thus providing you with the perfect place to relax and recuperate from a tough day’s climb. Moreover, the views you will get of the Alps from both huts are sensational.

Mont Maudit is definitely one of the most beautiful peaks in the Alps. It is also one of the 82, 4,000 meter plus peaks in the famed mountain range as well. The price includes the guiding fee and rental equipment. The price does not include guide expenses and half-board accommodations in a mountain hut for 2 nights (50-60 Euros per night) and cable car costs.

Itinerary

Day 1: Courmayeur - Turin Hut (3371m)

We will meet at the Monte Bianco Skyways in Courmayeur at 3:00 pm. After that, we will climb to the Turin hut, where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Turin Hut - Mont Maudit (4465m) - Cosmique Hut

Today, we will depart the Turin hut and make our way up to the Kuffer ridge. After that, we will continue on up to the beautiful summit of Mont Maudit before going to the Cosmique hut, where we will spend the night.

Day 3: Cosmique hut - Courmayeur

We will start in the morning and in the shadow of the Geant glacier, will make our way back to Courmayeur by way of the Monte Bianco skyway.

I'm a professional UIAGM mountain guide who works all over the world and has an addiction for traveling and working in many different places. I live in the southern part of Bavaria/Germany in a beautiful region called Allgäu. It's the perfect location to explore the Alps.
