Let a certified guide take you to the summit of Mt. Triglav, Slovenia’s highest and most iconic peak. Discover the Julian Alps.
Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep
This part of the world is famous for having over 400 peaks that rise above the 2,000 meters. Mt. Triglav is the most iconic, it is in fact and emblematic peak in Slovenia. However, there are other equally notorious and impressive peaks such as Razor (2,601m), Jalovec (2,645m), Mangart (2,679m) and Škrlatica (2,740m).
The Triglav National Park named after Mount Triglav, is the biggest protected natural area in Slovenia. And it covers most of the Julian Alps. Here, we’ll find enchanting forests of beech, spruce and larch. But there are many other species that inhabit these lands. Moreover, the terrain we’ll run into will be mainly grass areas, woods and rocky paths. However, we’ll also visit dazzling valleys such as the Vatra Valley.
Some of the highlights of this 4 day adventure are
Reach the summit of Mount Triglav
Visit the stunning Vatra Valley
Stay at the charming Dom Valentina Staniča Mountain Hut and Planik Mountain Hut
The best views of the Julian Alps
Please note that this is a hike with a sustained level. Also, you’ll require to have the essential hiking equipment. If you don’t have any, please let me know so we make the necessary arrangements. Finally, remember that the itinerary can change due to bad weather or potentially dangerous conditions. But I’ll make sure we follow every important rule to ensure your safety throughout this trip.
If you want to take part of this journey send me a request. It will be my pleasure to guide you to the top of Mt. Triglav.
We’ll meet in the Vrata Valley. Then we’ll head towards our mountain hut for the night.
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll begin our hiking across the Vrata valley at 1015m. And at night we’ll stay at the Dom Valentina Staniča (2332m) hut, where we’ll have dinner.
We will begin with a nutritious breakfast. Then we’ll start our hiking towards the Dom Planika (2401m).
First we’ll have a good breakfast. After that we’ll head back to the Vrata valley (1015m).

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.

Hello! I have been thoroughly impressed by the service and assistance that explore-share have provided the past couple years in helping to plan my trip to the High Tatras in Poland. I really appreciated the flexibility that they provided in allowing me to rearrange my trip twice owing to covid. They were responsive and communicative throughout. This trip was part of my Stag weekend celebrations and explore-share connected me with an outstanding guide in the form of Marcel - he was an excellent recommendation and we really enjoyed our guided hike in the High Tatras with him. Marcel was an outstanding professional, placed a high focus on preparing well and staying safe, and was also a great guy! Highly recommend. Many thanks and best wishes - Richard
