Located in the extreme northwest of Slovenia is the mountain town of Kranjska Gora. It rests in the Upper Carniola region next to the borders with Italy and Austria. Kranjska Gora is surrounded by the Julian Alps and its picturesque valleys. The town’s population is approximately 1,500 and has a very long history, being recorded in the 11th century.
