Bled is surrounded by beautiful jagged limestone crags and mountains of the Julian Alps that set a stunning backdrop to the town. The premier peak of the area is Mount Triglav, which is the centerpiece of its namesake national park. Measuring 2,864 meters above sea level, Mount Triglav is the highest mountain in the whole of Slovenia, and certainly top of the list of mountains to conquer in the country.
