Join me on a great climb expedition to one of the most popular summits in Cordillera Blanca: Nevado Ishinca (5530 m)! This is a long tour, across a glacier with crevasses and ice caves, but climbing it is technically easy.

This beautiful mountain is located in the Cordillera Blanca, more precisely in the Chinchey Massif. It lies between two of the highest peaks: Ranrapalca and Palcaraju.

This time, I propose a 3-day program exploring this beautiful region and reaching the Nevado Ishinca summit. It’s a classic climbing mountain route for those who want to acclimatize before attempting bigger objectives.

This expedition has a low technical difficulty, so it’s a really accessible climbing spot. However, you need to be in good physical shape.

From Huaraz we will drive to Cochapamapa. Our donkey driver will be waiting for us. From there we will start our hike and camp for the night!

On the second day, we will start our ascent to the summit very early in the morning. We will enjoy a fantastic panorama view from the top! Then we will descend to Base Camp, and return to Huaraz on the third day. You can check the day-by-day itinerary below this text.

If you are interested in climbing Nevado Ishinca in Peru, please feel free to contact me! I’ll be glad to guide you up there. And if you are looking for a more challenging ascent, you can also check the Nevado Huascaran 6-day ascent that I also guide.
