Description

Ortler is the highest mountain in South Tyrol. With 3905m, it's not a 4000er, but its ascent through the normal route is extremely varied and exciting. It offers everything that will make a mountaineer's heart beat faster!

On the first day we ascend first by chairlift from Sulden to Landenstein. Then we ascend until the Payerhütte, where we spend the night. The second day is summit day! I can assure you, you won't stop admiring the wonderful views during the whole day! But it's not all contemplation, the day requires some fun effort as well.

Although the program is not particularly difficult, you need to be in very good shape. In fact, the second day is quite long, we will ascend and descend for up to 10 hours. Besides, you need to have experience with crampons and walking on glaciers.

Are you interested in this weekend ascent to the beautiful Ortler? Then please contact me for more information! I will be waiting for your message. And if you are in South Tyrol during the winter, I can also take you freeriding in the Dolomites!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
