Description
Punta Fiames via ferrata (also known as 'Michielli-Strobel') is a popular climbing challenge in the Cortina Valley. Join me for a great adventure!
Starting from Hotel Fiames, a 30 minutes hike will lead us to the beginning of an interesting via ferrata in Punta Fiames, a 2240 m peak above the town of Cortina D'Ampezzo.
This classic (and not so difficult) via ferrata goes along the west ridge of Punta Fiames peak. It's an intermediate route with some exposed sections.
Once on the top, you'll enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the entire Cortina Valley. You'll also see some Dolomites summits like Antelao and Cristallo.

Mountain Guide
I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.
I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.
