There are a number of incredible mountain ranges you can explore when you visit Bulgaria. There is the Balkans and the Rhodopes, as well as the Pirin mountains and the Rila mountains, which will be the focus of this trip. For an entire week, we will lead you through these two amazing collections of peaks. we will see to it that you get to see all of the highlights they offer. we will also see to it that you get to enjoy the beautiful, lush, natural landscape they both possess.
As a result of the length of time of this hiking adventure, the itinerary is very open ended. There is no strict schedule. Instead, we will discuss the trip prior to its beginning. We will go through everything from the meeting point, to which dates you want to enjoy it, to whether you want to stay in mountain huts or hotels, to what exactly you want to see. There is also the option of walking between 7-9 hours a day on tougher terrain, to a much easier 4-6 hour pace on easier terrain. we believe it is this kind of variety and freedom that makes this week long hike through the Rila mountains and Pirin mountains so exciting.
There are an abundance of highlights you will get to see on this 7 day hiking adventure including:
Mount Vihren (2,914m)
Mount Musala (2,925m)
The seven Rila lakes
Rila monastery
Skakavitsa waterfall
Rozhen monastery
Along with those highlights, there is also a number of beautiful blue lakes and gorgeous forests. Furthermore, you will have the chance to visit several small villages, where you can get a wonderful glimpse at local Bulgarian culture.
This week long hiking trek through the Rila mountains and the Pirin mountains is unbelievably exciting. And it would be our privilege to guide you through it. So if you want to explore this pair of majestic mountain ranges, just send us a request.

Lyuben is a very good guide. More than a ski touring guide , he is a perfect travel organiser. We were a group of 4 Belgium guys around 50 to make the 4 days touring ski tour. He chose for us a very good family guesthouse, with very good food. He let us discover local thermal bath, traditional restaurant. About ski touring, Lyuben chose each day the best spot possible for the landscape and the snow adapted to the changing weather conditions. Time keeping was perfect. Zero stress for any situation. He has a comfortable car and does not hesitate to drive hours to bring us to the best area or to bring back us to the airport. Very friendly, super adaptive with us, I warmly recommend Lyuben.
