Are you looking for a different type of vacation with your family? Do you want your whole family to experience an adventurous journey? Then this rock climbing course for families in Courmayeur, in the Aosta Valley is for you!
Courmayeur is a municipality in the heart of the Aosta Valley, a mountainous region in Italy. It is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, bordering the italian city of Turin. It also borders Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France and Valais, Switzerland.
Both, the municipality of Courmayeur and the whole region of the Aosta Valley, have very unique hills, pitches and rock formations. Hence, they are perfect places to practice rock climbing. Here, you’ll find over a hundred sports’ climbing areas, that offer climbs for everyone. Thus, they are the ideal location for a course like this.
Also, there is a fantastic wall in Courmayeur. The wall is ideal for adults or children who are attempting their first climbs. It allows you to practice in a very safe environment, while learning all the basics.
This course will take place in the wall. You will learn all the basic techniques for rock climbing and gain confidence for your next trip. However, if you want to get out and explore the Aosta Valley, we can easily arrange something.
Because this trip is open to everyone in the family, safety will be my number one concern. So I will be with you the whole time, making sure we follow all the safety measures needed. My main goal is that everyone is safe while enjoying themselves and having fun.
If you want to bring the family along, don’t hesitate and send me a request. It will be my pleasure to be your guide in this wonderful adventure.
I'm an IFMGA-certified guide, a mountaineer, a writer, an architect, a mother and an ex-Ice World Cup athlete. I love to share my passion for the mountains with others, especially people with disabilities, children and women.
Born in 1971, I received my Bachellor's degree in Architecture from the University of Torino in 1998. I lived in Innsbruck, in the Austrian Alps, from '98 to 2003 and then moved back to Courmayeur, in Italy, where I've been living since 2004.
As an ice climber, I won the national Italian championship in 2007 and got in second in the 2006 World Cup (in fact, from 2001 to 2008, I always finished among the first 5 athletes).
Come join me to discover the best rock and ice routes around Courmayeur!
