Belgium is home to a dazzling natural landscape that includes meadows, pastures, forests, and valleys. The limestone rock of Freyr is a great sport climbing destination, with a massif overlooking the Meuse River as you make you way up one of hundred of exciting and inspired routes.
Our program will take you along the generous rock rising above the Meuse for a climb designed around your abilities and needs. There are great single-pitch and multi-pitch routes that can be explored for days, with amazing Belgian scenery as the perfect backdrop. We can combine sport routes for a sustained journey up the stone.
The best part of the program is our night on a portaledge. You can relax into the evening and watch the sun set from above the serene river. I can take care of necessary logistics, so you can relax and enjoy the rare experience that is a fulfilling component of a rock climbing career. In the morning, you will wake up to the moving water and the natural beauty of Freyr. A sunrise from this elevated Belgian limestone is sure to stay with you long after you finish the program.
One of the perks of a Freyr climb is the vantage point of the aptly named Chateau de Freyr. It stands as a huge draw for visitors to Wallonia, and memorable views from the top of the rock are a guarantee. Climbers can spot the illustrious gardens outside of the chateau, sitting right on the water of the Meuse. Any adventurers in the mood for an extended stay can visit the castle and tour the grounds before or after the program.
This is one of my favorite spots to climb. I cultivated my passion for climbing on these very rocks, so sharing this experience with you is important to me. I am a local expert who can guide you wherever you need and want to go for the best possible climbing trip. I can ensure a safe and satisfying program that will only be enhanced by our night on the portaledge.
You should have a general fitness level that makes climbing comfortable, though all are welcome to enjoy this program. There are single-pitch and multi-pitch climbs for every type of climber. A tolerance of heights is required to participate on this trip.
Rise and shine on a portaledge with the Meuse River rushing below you and BOOK this unforgettable rock climbing trip in Freyr NOW for a one-of-a-kind adventure in Belgium!
We can also include a Freyr climb with other great destinations in Wallonia on a multi-day rock climbing adventure!

Had a great day bouldering in Fontainebleau with Leo and would 100% recommend him. He's a strong climber, knows the forest inside out, and is a really good teacher — patient, clear, and easy to learn from. Super chill guy too, and he took the time to tailor the day to what we wanted instead of running a generic tour. If you're heading to Font, book Leo!
