Rock Climbing on Mount Crested Butte’s “Guides Ridge”

A favorite route for rock climbers on Mount Crested Butte (3,017m), climbing the Guides Ridge is a spectacular alpine experience. And on this trip, you will get to enjoy that route for a full day.

Located in the Rockies of Colorado, Mount Crested Butte is a beautiful mountain. However, it can appear very intimidating at first glance, but don’t let that deter you, as the rock climbing it offers, particularly on the Guides Ridge, is actually open to climbers of every skill level. As a result, even beginners can enjoy the ridge, including adventurous families. However, there are also several areas on the ridge that climbing experts looking to challenge themselves can enjoy as well.

The trip will begin with a wonderfully scenic ride on the Crested Butte Mountain Resort’s sliver queen lift. The lift will take you high up the mountain. After we exit the lift, we will make our way to the Guides Ridge and start climbing right to the top of the peak, where you can enjoy views that will take your breath away.

While this trip is open to people of varying skill levels, it is important that all participants are in good physical condition.
