Description

Although less popular than the Alps, the High Tatras have lots to offer! This 3-day ski touring program in the High Tatras will take you across this mountain range's main ridge and will allow you to discover its best-kept secrets.

From stunning scenery to the unique Tatras environment, you'll fall in love with these mountains. They are the perfect place for ski touring! After demanding ascents, you'll be rewarded by steep descents and amazing landscapes.

You need to have a good fitness level as we will spend from 5 to 7 hours on our skis everyday. You also need to have some ski touring experience and basic knowledge of backcountry security. We will climb for around 1,000 meters everyday, during moderately challenging hikes.

This ski touring program in the High Tatras is a very good training before attempting a crossing of the Alps. We can go on this expedition from January to April. So contact me and join me on these incredible 3 days and discover this beautiful corner of the world!

If you're looking for a less demanding ski touring program, check out my 2-day ski touring course in the Ore Mountains. It is great for beginners! I also offer a 2-day avalanche course in the High Tatras.

About the guide

I'm an IFMGA-certified mountain guide currently based in the Elbe Valley, Czech Republic. I've skied since a very young age but climbing is my true passion. I was in climbing representation and have climbed many big walls in the Alps, the US and Greenland. To me, mountain guiding is a unique profession: it allows me to spend my days doing what I like and to share with others the beauty I find in in the mountains.

Tomas was great, very friendly and got us up the Studlgrat in tough conditions. Would definitely recommend.

The guide was nice. We went upto Studel hut. Next day the weather was very bad and hence we could not proceed further. We had no time to extend our day further. Never mind. We shall think of it again later. Tanks and regards.
