Nepal is a fantastic place, and hiking through its mountainous areas creates memories that will never leave you. And on this 3 week adventure, you will have the chance to hike through several different areas, from Solukhumbu to Khumbu.

While there is an itinerary for this trip, it is not iron clad. The reason being, we prefer to tailor our trips to the desires of our clients. As a result, based on your climbing experience, skill level and ambitions, we will create the right trip for you.

However, regardless of the itinerary, you can rest assured that throughout this amazing 3 week adventure, you will get to enjoy views that will truly amaze you. Depending on where we are, you will be able to see some of the Himalayas’ highest and most famous peaks. Just a few examples of the peaks you will get to see include Cho Oyu (8,201m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), Changtse (7,553m), Lhotse (8,516m), and many more, including the mythical Mount Everest (8,848m).

From cities like Kathmandu to villages like Jiri, you will get a real taste of the beauty of Nepal during this trek. In those places, along with others like Thame and the amazing Namche Bazar, you will get to meet many wonderful local people. Thus giving you a chance to not only admire the breathtaking peaks of the Himalayas, but also the amazing people who call the area home.

Furthermore, along with those amazing experiences, you will also get to climb Gokyo Ri (5,350m). Other highlights include glacial lakes, suspension bridges, a beautiful monastery, amazing passes like Renjo La (5,345m), and the famously thrilling and scenic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

Day 1 to 2: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrival to Kathmandu international airport before settling into hotel with dinner.

Day 3: Sightseeing day in Kathmandu

Explore the Nepalese capital city. Many highlights include Durbar square, Thamel and Swayambunath. We will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 4: Kathmandu - Jiri (1,905m)

We will take a private transfer to the village of Jiri, the largest village in Solukhumbu. We will spend the night in a local lodge.

Day 5 to 10: Exploration of Solukhumbu to upper area of Khumbu

Over these 5 days, we will hike through Solukhumbu, through the Everest national park, to the upper areas of Khumbu to Namche Bazar (3,450m). We will cross through several local villages, make various climbs, and trek over several passes. We will spend the night in various lodges and a hotel in Namche Bazar.

Day 11: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazar

We will spend the day exploring Namche Bazar, as you get properly acclimatized, where you will get to visit the monastery. We will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 12 to 14: Monjo La (4,000m) to Machermo (4,410m)

Over these 3 days, we will pass through several high altitude villages, and will climb the beautiful Gokyo Ri (5,350m). We will stay in various lodges during these days.

Day 15 to 17: Renjo La (5,345m)

We will pass the Renjo La peak on our way back down to Namche Bazar. We will pass through the village of Thame, where you can visit the famed Gompa. We will spend a night in a lodge in Thame, a night in a hotel in Namche Bazar.

Day 18 to 19: Namche Bazar - Lukla - Kathmandu

We will hike for approximately 6-8 hours to Lukla, where we will spend the night in a lodge. On the following day, we will fly to Kathmandu, where you will have the day to explore more of the city before spending the night in a hotel.

Day 21: Depature home from Kathmandu

Before catching your flight home, you will have the chance to visit Pashu Patinath.

I come from Marseille and I found my passion for mountaineering very early, climbing Les Calanques, some mountains in the Verdon region and in the Alps. I got my IFMGA (mountain guide) certificate in 1983 and my ski instructor license in 1985.
I brought my clients on many summits of the Alps and went abroad to discover the world. I went skiing, climbing, mountaineering… in Morocco, Norway, Algeria (Hoggar), Yosemite (El Capitan) and Nepal. I discovered this passion for travelling and started to organize my first trips with my clients. In the late 80’, I went to the Annapurna Sanctuary and I did several ascents in Peru (Pisco, Yanapatcha and Huascaran). In the 90’, I did several trips in Nepal (Helambu, Langtang…).
I then kept on and further explored the world with my clients: Rolwaling traverse (Perchamo, Mera Peak Mingbo La), the summits of Yala Peak and the Yana Kanga, Patagonia (in Argentina), Manaslu tour in Nepal, Meso Kanto La, Mustang, Atacama desert in chili and many others.
I like bringing my clients mountaineering in summer and ski touring / heliskiing in winter.
