Known as the Haute Route of the Americas, the Spearhead Traverse is a challenging ski tour that offers some of Canada’s best skiing, mountaineering and scenery!
Over the course of 3 to 5 days (we’re flexible so that you can get the most out of this trip with the time you have available), we will head from the backside of Blackcomb Peak, near the top of Hortsman Glacier, and make our way all the way to Whistler glacier, outside of the famed ski village.
Along the way, we will enjoy some incredible descents through pristine powder as well as get the opportunity to try out some mountaineering, with ice climbing and roped glacier travel.
In order to get the most out of this trip, you must have completed a level one avalanche course and introduction to ski mountaineering course prior to booking.
However, all your effort and preparation is well rewarded. The Spearhead Traverse is incredibly remote and provides us with numerous amazing views out over the snowy wonderland that is the Canadian Coastal Mountains.
So what are you waiting for? Book now for this incredibly 3-to-5-day ski touring adventure along the Spearhead Traverse!
If you like the look of this trip then we think you will also enjoy our 7-day Ptarmigan Traverse mountaineering program in the North Cascades of Washington State!
