Description

One of the more moderate and scenic ski touring routes in the Canadian Rockies, the Emerald Lake Slide Path is a great chance to enjoy the wilderness.

Full of fantastic views of not just the exquisite, and aptly named Emerald lake, this ski touring route will also provide you with a great chance to see Mount Field, as well as the Presidents’ peaks.

The approach to the Emerald Lake Slide path is quite short, but unbelievably scenic. It will show you just what makes the Yoho National Park, where the lake is located, so popular and beloved.

We will be skiing around the lake, where you can enjoy a number of great backcountry slopes and descents. And as we make our way around, you can either enjoy an ascent and subsequent descent of the Emerald peak, or you can descend back to the lake, where you can visit the Emerald lodge.

Some people like to challenge themselves and ski tour on the highest, most arduous peaks in the Rockies. However, there are others who prefer to enjoy easier, but still exciting routes, which will enable them to focus more on the beauty of the surroundings. If you fall into the latter, this trip will definitely suit you. If you want to see for yourself, just send me a request.

I can also lead you on a full day ski touring adventure on the Surprise Pass route that will take you around the Fairview mountain.
