Description

There are a number of amazing ski touring routes in the Rockies of Canada. However, few can confidently be referred to as classic. However, in the case of the Surprise Pass route, the word classic can be, without hesitation, attributed to it. And on this full day trip, you will get to enjoy this amazing route that will take you around the beautiful Fairview mountain (2,744m).

Incredibly scenic, as it is located in the Banff National Park, and is in very close proximity to the famed Lake Louise, the Surprise Pass route will almost certainly leave you wanting more.

The Surprise Pass route will take you past the glacial slopes of Mount Aberdeen. It will take you across a beautiful frozen lake. It will take you around the Fairview mountain. And it will thrill you with an approximately 700 meter descent. Thus giving you a truly fulfilling ski touring experience. And also keep in mind that all of this fun occurs under the gazing peaks of the majestic Rocky mountains.

To participate on this trip, you  should be in good physical condition. You should also be an at least moderate level skier.

Beautiful, exciting, fun and classic, the Surprise Pass ski route around the Fairview mountain really does have it all. And that you can enjoy the whole thing in a single day is a feat all on its own. To enjoy it for yourself, just send me a request. I look forward to guiding you.

What people are saying about Brent

Carlise

Brent is super knowledgeable of the area and great at finding climbs that fit our skill level and goals.

Timothy

I recommend booking with Brent no matter what level of climber you are. He is able to cater the day to exactly what you'll be looking for. In my experience, making the transition to outdoor climbing can be intimidating for a number of reasons. But with the way these routes are bolted, there's a level of comfort not typically found outdoors. Again, I recommend this to anyone at any level. It can be as challenging or as easy of a day as you want it to be.

Erin

Brent single-handedly convinced us that we need to return to Canmore. He was highly meticulous and professional, which everyone who is climbing should appreciate in a guide. Thanks Brent! You made our trip amazing.

Simon

Admin was efficient for paying Communications were hit and miss. Took too long to answer questions about the day / route etc. We were beginners and the guide chose a route that was too challenging. One member of group dropped out the day before. The requested refund never even got a reply about. Let alone confirmation

Patric
