Join me on this program and discover the path that connects Pico do Areeiro and Pico Ruivo, two peaks in the main island of Madeira. These peaks belong to the Central Mountain Massif and offer some of the most terrific views of Madeira. Don’t miss this amazing chance!
First of all, I’ll pick you up very early in the morning and transfer you to Pico do Areeiro (1,818 meters) from where we’ll contemplate an amazing sunrise. Then, we’ll begin our hike across the Central Mountains, cross tunnels and discover dazzling views and colors. After a few hours of hiking, we’ll reach Pico Ruivo (1,862 meters) and finally walk to Achada do Teixeira, where our program will end at sunset.
Although the trail is not too technical, keep in mind that the ground is irregular and has plenty of stairs. We’ll face an elevation gain of around 300 meters. That’s why is important to have a good level of fitness for this trip.
As for the duration, the program will start at 6 am and end at 5 pm, with a total of 5 hours of hiking.
