Description

Tofane in Italy is a fantastic mountain group. It is located in the Parco Naturale delle Dolomiti d’Ampezzo national park. It is also positioned within the beautiful Dolomite mountains. Tofane has several different peaks, the highest being the Tofani di Mezzo (3,244m). And on this 3 day trip you will have the chance to explore a large portion of this mountain group, while traversing along different via ferratas.

Needless to say, wherever you are in the Dolomites, you are going to be  blessed with fantastic views. And on this adventure in Tofane, that definitely remains true. The views, as well as the experience, you will have on the different via ferratas is superb. As a result, I can assure you that you will have a memorable and thrilling time!

On the first day of the trip, we will take a lift to the Lagazuoi hut. From there, you will get to enjoy the Tommaselli via ferrata. This via ferrata, while challenging is not very long. Afterwards, we will spend the night in the Lagazuoi hut. On the second day of the trip, we will visit the Lipella via ferrata. This via ferrata will lead to the summit of the Tofana di Rozes (3,225m). From this summit you will get to enjoy some spectacular views. Afterwards, we will spend the night in the Giussani hut. Finally, on the last day, we will venture on the Gianni Olivieri via ferrata, where you will reach the summits of 2 more Tofane peaks. Afterwards, we will descend to the Campana Ra Valles and take the lift down to Cortina.

Send me a request, and let me guide you through the gorgeous Tofane mountain group, where you can experience several different via ferrata adventures.

I also lead a 1 day via ferrata trip at the beautiful Passo Falzarego as well.

Mountain Guide

I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.

I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.

Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal. I work with other mountain guides in the Veneto area, such as Filippo, Massimo, and my brother Daniele. If I am unavailable on the date you are interested in coming climbing, skiing, or engaging in other activities with me, I can connect you with one of them.

3 stars Marmolada is due to weatherconditions. Lack of new snow. Enrico found good snow in parts of the glacier. 5 stars to him. Before we went up to the glacier, Enrico took us for a testride offpiste to see if we would be able to ski difficult conditions. Very good.

To be honest we are very disappointed. We signed up for the day of free ride on Marmolada but Enrico wisely said the snow conditions were not conducive for doing that. He offered to do other activities (specifically ski touring) but that is not what we paid for or signed up for, and did not want to do that. Since he offered “alternative activities” it appears we lose 100% of the cost per Explore-Share policy. This is extremely unfair. Enrico seemed like a good guy and probably a very good guide, but I would NOT recommend Explore Share to anyone! Terrible experience for an expensive day.

Geremia was great to have for my first time ice climbing. He went over all the basics and gave me tips on my climbing that really helped out. All of this in a beautiful location! Highly recommended!
