Join me for this unique hike that bring us to the food of the world highest peak, Mount Everest (8848 meters) called Sagarmatha in Nepali.

The Everest region is one of the most popular trekking area in Nepal. To get near Everest, you must either walk for 10 days or fly to Lukla. This area is famous, not only for its proximity to the world’s highest mountain, but also for its sherpa villages and monasteries.

Please find below the program I usually propose. I can of course adapt it based on your time here and your wishes.

Day 1 – Arrival Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel B/B

Day 2 – Sightseing in and around Kathmandu

Day 3 – Flight to Lukla (45min) from Kathmandu and trek to Phakding (3 hours)

Day 4 – Trek to Namche Bazer (3450m.)
5 to 6 hours walk

Day 5 – Namche one day rest for acclimatization – Hike to Khumjung

Day 6 – Trek to Dole (4000m)

Day 7 – Trek to Machermo (4400m)

Day 8 – Trek to Gokyo (4750m)

Day 9 – Excursion Gokyo Ri (5350m) and Thangank

Day 10 – Trek to Chola pass Dzongla

Day 11 – Trek to gorashep via Lobuche (4900m)

Day 12 – Trek to kalapather and trek back to Lobuche

Day 13 – Trek to Tangbiche

Day 14 – Trek to Manjo

Day 15 – Trek to Lukla

Day 16 – Fly back to Kathmndu from Lukla

Day 17 – Fly back home
