Itinerary

Day 0: Arrival to Rifugio Settimo Alpini

Make your way to Rifugio Settimo Alpini our meeting point, following a 2.5-hour easy hike from the parking area at Case Bortot.

Day 1: Summit Monte Schiara

Depart from Rifugio Settimo Alpini at 7.00, heading to the first via ferrata, the Via Ferrata "Zacchi".

In 3 hours we will reach the "Bivacco Ugo Dalla Bernardina", an incredible bivouac in front of the symbol of the Schiara group: the "Gusela del Vescovà", an isolated 40 meters monolite of rare beautiness.

After a short break, we will head towards the summit of Monte Schiara by doing the Via Ferrata "Berti" that in 45 minutes will bring us to the summit. We will then continue along the west ridge of Monte Schiara towards a second bivouac, the "Bivacco del Marmol", where the third and last Via Ferrata "Piero Rossi (ex Marmol)" will bring us back to the Rifugio Settimo Alpini.

Here you can decide if to proceed toward the car parking by your self or if to sleep another night at the Rifugio Settimo Alpini with the possibility of doing other via ferratas or climbing routes the next day.

The total duration of the day is between 7 and 8 hours.
