Description

Enjoy an adventure unlike any other in the daunting Dolomites of northern Italy on the Via Ferrata Gianni Aglio! This guided day program will take you to the top of the Tofana di Mezzo, the highest of the Tofane, on a challenging and rewarding route with unprecedented views of a classic Alpine mountain range!

As one of the locations synonymous with the origins of via ferrata, the Dolomites are loaded with routes and lines of every level and depth. Combining Italian history in the 19th and 20th centuries with a sport dedicated to the brilliant topography of the region, it is no coincidence that adventurers from far and wide flock to this Shangri-La of curated climbing. The Via Ferrata Gianni Aglio is a perfect representation of its splendor.

The route begins with a ladder-assisted jump and moves southwest, cutting around the Gianni Aglio Tower. The exposed portion of the route to the east is electrifying, and prepares you for the Bus de Tofana and its “window,” the ensuing jumps with fixed stairways, and the awe-inspiring views from the top.

With an ascent to the summit of Tofana di Mezzo and reaching 3,244 meters, Gianni Aglio is an exhaustive course that leads to remarkable beauty from the highest peak of the Tofane. It can be combined with the Giuseppe Olivieri Via Ferrata to make it an enduring trek that is guaranteed to test your mettle and satisfy your need for adventure.

From the top you can descend via cable car, an added bit of magic to an already-unforgettable experience. The Torre Garlic offers a challenging traverse across its airy and exposed face, but it is no match for the culminating beauty of Gianni Aglio and successfully completing the ferrata.

You should be physically fit for the more demanding aspects of the route and trained for its obstacles. The course takes roughly four hours and covers 800 meters, with the option to combine it with the Giuseppe Olivieri Via Ferrata for an ultimate course with electrifying challenges.

If you wanted to take part in a private tour along one of these routes or elsewhere in the region, let me know and we can carve out the program that fits your needs.

This region is one of my favorites. I consider the Dolomites my backyard and inviting you on a via ferrata adventure is my pleasure. I will ensure you have a safe and satisfying time on the impeccable sedimentary rock that you will remember for the rest of your life.

Book this Via Ferrata Gianni Aglio day program NOW to discover the magic of the Dolomites and experience the adventure of a lifetime!

With plenty of other opportunities in the area, I would be honored to take you on a 1+ day guided via ferrata tour in the Dolomites!

The trip itself and Refaelo the guide was great and they even gave a refund for my daughter who didn't participate at last due to sickness. But All the corresponding before the trip was bad. No details were given about the ferrata and not even about the meeting point and time. It took a lot of time to get answers for my questions and sometimes didn't get any.
