David couldn’t make it so Gustavo Laveriano stepped in as guide. Gustavo was fantastic. He gathered info on the route on Artesonraju and realized that it wasn’t safe due to unstable seracs. We made a last minute decision the do Alpamayo instead. Gustavo is a very strong climber and a sound decision maker. His team functioned flawlessly and the food and accommodations were outstanding. I highly recommend Gustavo if you are considering a climb in the Cordillera Blanca.

As someone looking to build skills, I was particularly impressed by how competent and patient David was. He took the time to assess my comfort and skill level, providing clear, constructive coaching through some of the tougher moves. Safety is his top priority, but made sure we were still having a ton of fun, highly recommend David Zacarias for any climbing.

David was the best!! He was so friendly and made the whole experience unforgettable. He helped me feel completely comfortable and safe every step of the way, which really let me enjoy the adventure. On top of that, he was great to talk to an, engaging and made the day even more fun. Highly recommend!

We climbed various days with David and it was a great experience. He choose really fun routes that matched the level of climbing well, always kept safety measures in check and he has a lot of experience in an array of different climbing styles which is why his technique is really good. His tips are gold for improving footwork, body positioning and overall good climbing technique. We did multi pitches, overhang, slabs and generally a very varied style of climbing.

David is a very kind a cool guy, being a very professional mountain guide! It was very smooth doing some adventures with him, he is very well prepared! I can totally recommend him for your next adventure in the mountains! :)
